New Pumpkins! / Nowe dynie!

No, wiadomo - jesien sie zaczyna - dynie sie robia!

Autumn is here, pumpkins get made - obviously. First two of this season. Made for two very dear people. I already used this "recipe" two years ago, and they were easy and fast to make. This time, I decided to decorate them with ribbons and beads, to give them additional character.

Ok, last pumpkin this year! This one is more colourful, made from various yarn remnants. Super easy and quick to make. The pattern is free and I linked it below. Next post will be more Christmasy.

Perforowany papier zawarty w zestawie Mill Hill, zastapilam granatowa Lugana. Ramke kupilam osobno.

It's not really Fall anymore (we had a snowfall here the other day), but not yet Winter, either. I have a perfect project to show for such a season - a cross stitch pumpkin, but one that shimmers with beads like a Christmas ornament. Even though I never embroidered with beads to this degree before, I found this project to be fun and quite easy. I substituted the perforated paper included in the Mill Hill kit with navy Lugana. The frame was purchased separately.

Tak wygladal haft zanim przyszylam koraliki:

This is how the embroidery looked before I attached the beads:

A tak z koralikami:

And with beads:

Pumpkins again/Znowu dynie!

Dynie!

Niesamowicie latwe i szybkie w wykonaniu. Ponizsze zdjecia 'w akcji' pozwalaja sie mniej wiecej zorientowac odnosnie konstrukcji i ukladu kolorow.

Pumpkins! Yes! Which means that Autumn is in full swing and that my hand has improved enough for me to crochet these pumpkins in the first place. With a lot of breaks, but still... moving forward. 2020 has some redeeming qualities after all. And to think I was gonna erase it from my agenda altogether. I guess I'll give it a chance for the next couple of months (yes, I am being benignly silly-sarcastic).
Those of you, who have been visiting here for some time, know that I like all kinds of pumpkins - real ones, knit ones, stitched ones, etc. My family is gently suggesting that I should stop making more, that I already have enough of them. I don't see it. I don't understand it. Naturally, then, three more pumpkins joined my collection. I made them using a Mary Maxim's Plaid Pumpkin Trio kit. They were very easy and fast to make. Below, you can get a very general idea as to their construction and colour use.

Jak zwykle, w wiekszosci przypadkow wole dziergac ogonki wedlug swojej fantazji. Im bardziej fikusne i powykrecane, tym lepiej. Pelna improwizacja.

More often than not, I make the stems according to my imagination. The more gnarly and twisted, the better. Total improvisation.

Originally, the middle sized pumpkin was supposed to be done in one colour, but since I have several plain ones already, I decided to do it in a darker plaid version.

I used Mary Maxim acrylic yarns contained in the kit and a dark brown remaining from a different kit of theirs. For stems, I used gray-brown yarn remnants. Obviously, one can use many different colours and types of yarn for this project.

Pozdrawiam Was mocno.

Thank you so much for visiting today and for the good vibes sent my way. I wish you a lovely, peaceful and healthy Autumn. May that darn Creepy-19 be kind enough to just go away and not bother people anymore. Warmest greetings to all.
