Crochet Cactus Garden / Ogrodek kaktusowo-sukulentowy na szydelku

Witajcie! Az sie nie chce wierzyc, ze mnie tu caly rok nie bylo! To nie tak, ze nic nie robilam - bo robilam, ale niewiele robotek udalo mi sie skonczyc. Na moim drugim blogu, Margaret Among Colours, dzialo sie troche wiecej, bo bylam przede wszystkim zajeta malowaniem i rysowaniem. Dobra, koniec zbednego gadania. Dzis pokazuje Wam ukonczony w zeszlym tygodniu szydelkowy "ogrodek" kaktusowo-sukulentowy. Nie byl trudny do zrobienia, ale ze sklada sie on z wielu czesci, ktore wymagaly zszywania, przyszywania, wypychania, i ulozenia w calosc, to zajal mi sporo czasu. Ponizej na zdjeciach - czesci jak juz byly jako tako zlozone w calosc, poniewaz inaczej tych fotek by bylo za duzo.  

Hello! I can't believe that I haven't been here for a whole year! It's not that I wasn't working on anything, because I was. I just didn't manage to finish many projects. I was more active on my other blog, Margaret Among Colours, because I was mostly busy with painting and drawing.
    So, today I am showing you a crocheted Cactus Garden, which I finished just last week. It wasn't really hard to make - just took a long time, because there were many small parts that had to be put together, shaped, stuffed, and arranged into something resembling plants in a clay pot. Below, you can see photos of various components, after they were assembled from smaller pieces.
 

 

 

Nastepnie bylo przyszywanie "roslin" do "ziemi", a potem "ziemi" do "doniczki".

Next, I had to sew the "plants" to "soil". Then, "soil" to the "clay pot".

No, i ogolem wyszlo nawet ciekawie. Ponizej - fotki skonczonego juz projektu. Na samym koncu, podaje nazwe i link do wzoru, ktory jest po angielsku.

Overall, it came out looking rather interesting, which you can see on the photos below. At the very end, I posted the name of and the link to the pattern for this project (it is free as I write this). I need to mention, that the instructions are written using UK crochet terms, so please keep this in mind, if you are mainly used to US terms.

Persian Tiles Blanket/Narzuta

 Witajcie. Wlasnie na dniach skonczylam narzute, ktora mialam ochote zrobic juz dawno temu. Zestaw wloczek do "Persian Tiles Blanket" mozna kupic, oczywiscie, od projektantki (linki ponizej), ale ja zakupilam w krajowym sklepie Mary Maxim, bo akurat mialam na niego rabat. W sumie, projekt jest latwy w wykonaniu, wiec bardzo polecam.

Hello! I recently finished a crocheted throw, which I wanted to make for some time now. The yarn kit can be purchased, of course, from the designer's website (link below), but I got mine from a domestic retailer, since they had a discount on their afghan kits at the time. Overall, this was an easy and enjoyable project, which I highly recommend.

Hungry Hubert

Witajcie! Dzis przedstawiam Wam potworka Huberta, ktorego zrobilam kilka miesiecy temu (dopiero teraz doczekal sie swojej kolejki do pokazania). Jesli chodzi o samo dzierganie, to bylo niesamowicie proste i zajelo bardzo krotko. Jednakze, jak juz doszlo do filcowania, to bylo bardzo pod gorke. Otoz welna (100%, zwyczajna, NIE superwash), nie miala ochoty sie filcowac w pralce. W goracej wodzie. Z mydlem. W towarzystwie sztywnych jeansow. Po czterech praniach chwycilam za bardzo szorstka, reczna szczotke do szorowania podlog i zaczelam filcowac osobiscie. Troche pomoglo, po czym wrzucilam to to jeszcze raz do pralki. Wyszlo, jak wyszlo. Nie jest idealnie, ale moge z tym zyc. Hubert nieraz ma w paszczy cukierki, a czesciej olowki i dlugopisy. Pozdrawiam wszystkich serdecznie i zycze pogodnego i spokojnego dnia.

Hello! Today I present a little monster, which I made some time ago (this month it was his turn to be shown). The crocheting part itself was super easy and quick, but when it came to felting, it was a bit of a struggle. The yarn, which was 100%, NOT superwash wool, just resisted being felted in the washing machine. In hot water. With harsh soap. In the company of stiff jeans. After four washes, I grabbed a very stiff scrubbing brush, and started felting them by hand. It helped some, but I decided to put them in one more wash cycle. It came out the way it did. Not ideal, but I can live with it. Hubert sometimes holds candy in his mouth, and sometimes a bunch of pens and pencils. Wishing everyone a nice and peaceful day.

Cat Bed/ Legowisko dla kota

 

Witajcie! Dzis przedstawiam naprawde super szybki i latwy projekt (zajal mi gdzies tak 2-3 godziny) - czyli super proste lezanko dla kota. Wzor oryginalnie jest na szydelkowy koszyk, ale jak sie zrobi bardzo niskie scianki, to powstaje wlasnie legowisko dla kota (lub psa). Mialam przy tym troche frajdy. Nigdy przedtem nie uzywalam takiej grubej wloczki i takiego wielgachnego szydla. Nie bylo to najwygodniejsze, i w zasadzie mozna bylo robic tylko palcami i obyc sie bez tego szydelka. Kot chyba lubi swoje nowe "lozko", ale nigdy nie wiadomo tak na 100%.  Zrobilam mu specjalnie z takiej wloczki, zeby mu sie fajnie ugniatalo, i zeby mogl sobie w nie smacznie wpinac pazurki. No i ugniatal. Mysle, ze kiedy przyjdzie jesien i zima, to bedzie mu sie tam przytulniej lezalo. 

        Slicznie dziekuje za odwiedziny i zycze wszystkim udanego dnia.

 

Hello, there! Today I'm showing a super quick and easy project (it only took me 2-3 hours) - a simple cat bed. The original pattern is for a crocheted basket, but if you make the walls super short, then you get a cat (or dog) bed. I had a bit of fun making this. I never used such a thick yarn, or a huge hook before. It wasn't all that comfortable, to be honest, and one could actually do away with the hook altogether and use fingers. I think/hope that my cat likes his bed. I used this specific yarn, so he could enjoy kneading it and sinking his claws into it. And he did. I think that when the cold weather comes back, he will probably enjoy staying in it more often, as it's super cozy, soft and warm.

Amineko

Witajcie! Dzis przedstawiam spiacego amineko. (Amineko to skrot od japonskiego wyrazenia - amigurumi neko, co po prostu znaczy amigurumi kot). Robilam go z darmowego wzoru (diagram plus tekst po angielsku w linku ponizej). Zeby bylo smieszniej i aby dodac mu wiecej charakteru, lapki i uszy zrobilam w roznych rozmiarach. Wszystkich pozdrawiam serdecznie i zycze pieknego dnia.

Hello! Today I show a sleeping amineko (combination of 'amigurumi neko', meaning amigurumi cat) toy. I made it from a free pattern (link below). To make him more wonky and to add more character, I crocheted his legs and ears in different lengths.

Crocheted Pumpkin Spice Latte/Szydelkowa Dyniowa Latte

Juz pazdziernik, czyli sezon na dynie oficjalnie otwarty! A jak dynie, to nie obedzie sie bez aromatycznej, korzennej kawy - Pumpkin Spice Latte - takze w moich corocznych ozdobach jesiennych. Troche bylo z tym roboty, bo i zszywania czesci sporo, i przyszywania koralikow tez. Owszem, moglam te wiorki czekoladowe wyszyc, ale koraliki wydawaly mi sie jakies fajniejsze, szczegolnie te mniejsze, ktore wygladaja jak pomaranczowy, gruby cukier. W kazdym razie, tak to wszystko wygladalo/wyglada (fotki ponizej):

October! That means pumpkin season is in full swing! And where there are pumpkins, there must be Pumpkin Spice Latte, including in my yearly fall decorations. The project was a little fiddly, because there was quite a bit of sewing and attaching all the beads. Of course, I could have just embroidered the chocolate shavings, but I really liked how the beads looked, especially the orange ones, mimicking a coarse, orange sugar. Anyway, this is how it all enfolded and ended up looking (photos below):
