Chalkboard Style Tree Ornaments/"Kredowe" ozdoby choinkowe

Well, here we are. Another Christmas season is upon us. As usual, I tend to make some tree ornaments. This time, I chose a couple that have a chalkboard art aesthetic. Super easy and quick to stitch. I used remnants of some Chinese threads. Not the best, but not tragic either. After stitching, I reinforced the fabric with interfacing, padded it with one layer of batting, and attached to a very stiff cardboard. For  backing, I chose a Christmas themed fabric and mounted it the same way as the stitched pieces. I then glued front and back together, with a ribbon for hanging sandwiched in between. To make the edges look nicer, I attached a decorative cord, which I made from green and red pearl cotton (photos below).
And that's about it. Wishing everyone a happy, safe, healthy and peaceful Holiday season.

No... i nastepne Swieta tuz, tuz. Nastepnie skleilam przod i tyl razem, lokujac kawalek wstazki do zawieszania pomiedzy obie warstwy. Aby brzegi wygladaly ladnie i schludnie, przykleilam sznurek, ktory skrecilam z czerwonego i zielonego kordonka (zdjecia ponizej).
No, i to by bylo tyle na dzisiaj. Zycze wszystkim wesolych, bezpiecznych, zdrowych i spokojnych Swiat.

Granger Toque and Cowl/ Czapka i komin Granger

November. It's getting really cold outside. Time for hats, scarves and such. I present my most recent hat and cowl, made from an amazing alpaca yarn. Unbelievably soft and warm. I bought the yarn from an alpaca farm, Green Gable Alpacas, on Prince Edward Island, Canada. Just over 5 years ago, we visited this farm during vacation, where we had the chance to see the animals, yarns, and meet the farm's owner - Janet. I bought some yarn back then as well, but it's waiting for the right pattern. Regarding pattern choice in today's post, I picked it because it went well with the yarn's colour, as it created a pine cone - like effect. What I really like, is that on the label, it is written which specific alpacas the fibers came from.
Wishing everyone lots of good health.

Listopad. Zimno juz. Czas na czapki, szaliki i tym podobne. Przedstawiam niedawno zrobiona czapke i komin z przecudnej wloczki z alpaki. Niesamowicie mieciutka i cieplutka. Kilka lat temu odwiedzilismy farme osobiscie podczas wakacji, i moglismy zobaczyc alpaki, wloczki i poznac wlascicielke farmy - Janet. A odnosnie dzisiejszego wzoru, to wybralam go poniewaz fajnie pasowal mi do koloru wloczki, dajac efekt przypominajacy szyszke.
Pozdrawiam wszystkich cieplutko i zycze duzo dobrego zdrowia.

Rustic Welted Pumpkins/Rustykalne dynie

Witajcie! Dyni ciag dalszy... Polecam.

Hello! Continuing with the pumpkins... This time I made some ridged ones, using tweed yarns, which resulted in a very rustic style. Although they are super easy to make (simple stockinette stitch), they do tend to take a long time, because every so often you need to knit together first row with seventh row (or whichever row you want, depending on how wide you want the "welts" to be), which drastically shortens the length of the piece - until you reach your desired overall length. It's a great project for TV nights, as there's not much deep thinking, checking or planning involved. I recommend.

New Pumpkins! / Nowe dynie!

No, wiadomo - jesien sie zaczyna - dynie sie robia!

Autumn is here, pumpkins get made - obviously. First two of this season. Made for two very dear people. I already used this "recipe" two years ago, and they were easy and fast to make. This time, I decided to decorate them with ribbons and beads, to give them additional character.

Persian Tiles Blanket/Narzuta

Witajcie.

Hello! I recently finished a crocheted throw, which I wanted to make for some time now. The yarn kit can be purchased, of course, from the designer's website (link below), but I got mine from a domestic retailer, since they had a discount on their afghan kits at the time. Overall, this was an easy and enjoyable project, which I highly recommend.
