Christmas Strawberries/Truskawki na choinke

  Aaaa... dlugo mnie tu nie bylo, ale za to dzielnie pracowalam nad nowymi ozdobami na choinke, czyli owymi truskawkami w tytule. Tak na wstepie wyjasnie, ze 11 z nich robilam wedlug instrukcji  Prairie Schooler - "Christmas Strawberries" i "American Strawberries". Jedna, ta rozowa w stylu Quaker, robilam podlug instrukcji w magazynie "Just Cross Stitch - Christmas Ornaments" (r. 2006, str. 33). Ogolem truskawki robilo sie latwo i nawet szybko (chociaz z duzymi przerwami) i mozna je zrobic samemu z prawie kazdego materialu.

Aaaa... long time no see, but I was working hard on my latest Christmas ornaments, i.e. the strawberries. 11 of them I made according to charts and instructions in Prairie Schooler's Christmas Strawberries and American Strawberries. The pinkish one in Quaker style was made using a pattern found in Just Cross Stitch - Christmas Ornaments magazine, 2006, on pg. 33. Overall, it was an easy and relatively quick project (although I took long breaks).

 Najpierw wszystkie motywy wyszylam na jednym kawalku plotna (Lugana). Nastepnie usztywnilam caly kawalek fizelina i wycielam z tego polkola tak, ze na kazde polkole wypadl jeden motyw (z dodatkiem na szwy). Polkola zlozylam na pol i zszylam wzdluz prostej, po czym powstaly takie smieszne stozki/czapeczki:

I stitched all motifs on one piece of Lugana. After I stiffened the whole piece with fusible interfacing, I cut the motifs out according to instructions (basically, you just cut out semicircles, with each motif centered in them, plus seam allowance). Next, I folded them in half and stitched along the straight edge. Consequently, I got something that looked like little cones/elf hats:

 

Nastepnie zmarszczylam brzeg stozkow i wypchalam dosyc ciasno watolina:

 Next, I gathered the cones along the wide edge and generously stuffed them with polyester stuffing:

 

Gonzo, moj pomocnik, kontrolowal jakosc.

 

  Z filcowanej welny wycielam nierowne gwiazdki, ktore mialy udawac listki, i razem z zawieszka z wstazki, przyszylam do truskawek. Czyli nic skomplikowanego. Najdluzej, oczywiscie, zajelo wyszywanie.

 From felted wool, I cut out uneven stars (to use as leaves), and together with a ribbon loop, I stitched them to the strawberries. Easy, peasy, nothing complicated. Cross stitching took the longest time to complete. 

No i to by bylo wszystko na dzisiaj. Slicznie dziekuje za odwiedziny. Wszystkich pozdrawiam cieplutko, z glebii serca i zycze Wam jak najpiekniejszego dnia.
