OK, I finally got around to starting another version of the Eagle Feathers scarf. This time, I chose Peruvian Baby Cashmere from Elann (colour: Cashmere Blue). The blend of alpaca/merino/cashmere is sooooo soft and blocks like a charm. Because this yarn is of much finer gauge than the original Mulberry Silk, I decided to use 5 pattern repeats vs. 3.
A BIIIIIIIG Thank You for all your kind words and encouragement - you know who you are.
In addition - THANKS to those of you, who decided to make your own Eagle Feathers Scarf. With time, I'll try to post other Knitters' versions of this project.
On another note....
I finally finished the Backyard Leaves Scarf (photo below) from Scarf Style. It was a lot of fun to knit and is even more fun to wear. Even though I made 10 leaf repeats vs. 11 in original pattern, the scarf still came out veeeeeeeeeeeeery long. But I like long, and it looks so romantic when wound several times, loosely, around the neck.
